I have a 98 R21 and wouldn't you know it the first time it overheated the Engine stop Push Pull cable jammed.
If I can't unjam it are there still any parts available for the R21. I can't seem to find something like it on the internet

A little WD 40 managed to get the cable out. Had some rust spots. Soaking it now.
I guess you are on your own with older rangers.

The fuel shut off cable on the old style Yanmar is a Yanmar part, check with a yanmar parts dealer or get a universal one from a place like West Marine or even Napa.

As with all boats, parts for the systems aboard are procured though the manufacturer of the item in question, ie, the steering parts are available through Teleflex, the windows from Diamond Seaglaze etc....
structural things like rails, cleats, hinges, etc can be replaced through most chandlerys.
damaged fiberglass can be repaired.

You're not on your own...sometimes us Tugnuts just miss a question. You can also phone the factory, even if the part isn't available they can usually help with the search....

There is a company in Tacoma Wa USA that makes cables and may be able to make a modern cable to fit your needs.
Try a google search for Cablecraft. Bob Heselberg in Eatonville Wa

Engines vary, but the 3YM30 in our boat has a manual shutoff on the after end of the fuel pump. Pressing it will kill the engine. It always pays to find out how to stop your engine manually somehow by lifting the engine cover and pushing or pulling something. Preferably before one really has to do it. Obviously, you got it shut down so you already know how it all works and could do it again.

We lost a kill-cable while in The Bahamas one time and I found I could just rig a nylon line to the fuel pump on that Yanmar since there was a kill-lever on the pump. It had to be pulled from inside the cabin rather than at the helm because of the direction of pull, but it worked for a couple months until we returned to Florida and could easily replace the cable.
