I noticed links to Facebook groups in the sidebar on one of this site's pages.

PLEASE don't tell me you're going to shift support there. I am not on Facebook and have no desire to get on Facebook. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who feels this way.

Moving support to a third-party organization that is renowned for poor moderation and the spread of misinformation is sheer folly.

TugNuts is already an excellent forum for owners and potential buyers to get information about our boats. Spreading your support efforts to a second platform can't possibly benefit the folks who depend on support they can get here.

Maria, after all the time, funds and consultations making essentially a "new" TugNuts Forum, I don't think there is any way it would be discontinued in favor of FaceBook pages. It's here to stay.

I think the Facebook groups are great for posting entertaining pictures. Sometimes it gets into technical issues, which is fine, too. I enjoy both.

I only have a facebook account that uses a alias used for participating in those groups and the occasional marketplace ad.
It has no personal info and no connections to people in my life.
It does the job, but I agree, this format is much better for knowledge aggregation.

I hope you're right. But my main concern is factory staff focusing on answering questions on FB and not having the left over time to answer questions here.

Hi Maria, rest assured we are dedicated to answering questions on Tugnuts.com. Our "Ask the Factory" forums are continuously monitored by our Customer Service team. Those forums are the best place to pose a question to the factory. The links on the sidebar of the Tugnuts home page are for our official Facebook pages (rather than a group). While we'd love for anyone who uses Facebook to follow and like our pages on Facebook, we understand why people wouldn't use the service. Tugnuts.com is the official home of the Ranger Tugs, Cutwater, and Solara communities, and will continue to be supported by the factory. We're excited to see the site grow following the recent update. Hopefully this answers your question! Thanks!
