Looking into purchasing a used 31 cb.
Would appreciate input on the following:
1. Boats from Florida- looked at a 2014 last year, needed a paint job already, was this an oddball or is best to avoid Florida boats in general due to intense sun?
2. Will use in Fresh water- river and Great Lakes, only fresh water used went fast last fall, in Michigan, what to watch for besides corrosion, is it best to pay more for fresh water only in general?
3. Want to keep cost down, so looking at older ones, but only one cb. seat concerns me, is there options to add another or good chairs on older cb.models?
4. want air and heat, some don’t have both, money wise, better to find one with both factory install or add heat or air later?
5. Better to buy from NW or NE in general due to sun affect south, realize covered slip affect.
Thanks up front for any advice, have researched a lot of trawlers and keep coming back to Ranger, shallow draft, towing option, maneuvering ease, running 25ft Crownline now, need more space, range, and amenities!
