Plymouthrockguy ,
I bought my 2015 in 2020, it had 16 hours on the motor (VP Recall/Replace) and 30 hours on the boat. All fresh water in Winnipesaukee. It had a few upgrades -analog gauges, full bimini with side curtains, included trailer and was in factory condition. I paid $54K and then put about $5K into upgrades-davits, stern couch insert to turn it into a double berth, screens for cockpit/bimini, upgraded Fusion stereo, upsized anchor and rode etc... She is exactly the way I want her now. If you decide to take the R21 plunge, be ready to have constant attention on ramps and at docks. Everyone wants to talk about these little tugs. The R21 is a sweet little boat, she handles following seas pretty well for her length and displacement, in beam seas she rolls quite a bit due to her narrow beam, but it's manageable. She cruises at 6-6.5 knots at 2400 RPM and at about 7-7.5 at WOT (3000 RPM) and burns about half a gallon /hour at cruising speed. I would seriously reconsider removing the swim platform if possible. It adds much needed space for a cooler which is necessary as the fridge is tiny. Also, getting into the boat from swimming would be difficult at best. If you want to check one out before pulling the trigger, I'm in York Maine, not too far from Plymouth. Good luck on your search!
