I just picked my boat from winter storage yesterday with a clean bottom & running gear, empty water tank & holding tank, and only 1 person on board. Cruising at 2650 rpm the boat ran a solid 14.0 knots and at WOT 3020 rpm was 17.5 knots. With all the discussion of fast boats on this site these lightning fast speeds of my RT25SC got me thinking. What can I do to catchup and pass the new sleek RT27OBs. Maybe reduce wind resistance by removing the mast, stack and solar panel and reduce weight by removing the generator, windless, anchor & rode and interior furniture except pilot seat I need to sit. Woops, the wife just looked over my shoulder and saw what I was posting, I need to go now!

Watch out all you RT27OB owners you may be reading “DreamChaser” on my stern.

Going from 120 knot helicopters to 7 knot Tugs makes you want to redesign the Tug...Rhonda said NO TOO...

Just put it on a trailer, head for the interstate and I bet you can get it up to 65 MPH! The RT27OB guys might be able to match that but I think your speed will leave the RT29s and RT31s in the dust! 😛

Texaseye - years ago I satisfied my speed needs with on the deck pylon air racing. I had a Baby Great Lakes single seat open cockpit biplane that I used exclusively for aerobatics and racing. I came out alive so slow is good for me now.

Scross - maybe someone could tow me through puddles to get some splashing on the windows so I would feel like I was in the water.
