Fender Placement

Should fenders be kept off the window glass? Can they crack the glass?

I keep our fenders off the glass. There is pressure when they are compressed between the hull and dock which could cause problems.

Personally, I would never have fenders placed against the glass. Lots of other places to stow them or hang them for use besides against glass. Boat glass (including the hatch glass) is really darn expensive and may be hard to source a replacement.
