We are moving through the process of building an R29 CB. Mark at Pocket Yachts is doing a great job with us and is actively trying to find some samples for the colors we are deciding between.

I wanted to see if there were any inputs on colors from the group, e.g., oxidation, durability, best practices, etc.

I also wanted to see if anyone has some actual Fighting Lady Yellow Ranger pictures. I've only been able to find it on the factory website.

Unless you really enjoy waxing and buffing stay away from Red and Blue. After a few years the East coast sun will take a toll on the darker colors unless you have year round covered storage. Perhaps some day Ranger Tugs will offer an "East Coast White" in the tug line.
 
PLEASE ask Mark to sell us a boat. We have been trying for nearly a year to trade our Ranger 25 on one of his three used Cutwater 26s - but each time we get close they back out.

Maybe they are waiting for a better prom date?

If you are trading a Cutwater 26 that is Volvo equipped, trade our Ranger 25 instead - we will give you the difference in cash plus $5k for your trouble.

Our R29 is the Fighting Lady Yellow one on the home page photos. It definitely fades although gracefully.It hides scratches and salt residue well and still looks great! We are currently doing the Loop and are dry docked in Mobile while we return home for a couple months. So far in 1600 miles we have not seen any other yellow boats, we like being unique! We are romancing the idea of a bigger boat and are certain it will be the same Fighting Lady Yellow. If your looking for a classic R29 that stands out in a crowd watch for ours in the fall of 2018.
