Hello! We just got our new 2020 R29S last week and are busy filling her with all of our stuff, which includes fire extinguishers. Wondering where other 29 owners have found to be the best places to locate them? We will appreciate any suggestions you can share!

I would think just entering the mid berth as it is closest to the oven and outdoor BBQ plus is just out of the way.

I think that the likeliest place for a fire is the stove. If fire breaks out you need access to the extinguishers both to fight the fire and, if you are forward of it, fight your way out of the cabin. That may not be possible if they are near the fire. I have put one in the V-berth, one on a bulkhead in the head and two in the cockpit in addition to one on the bulkhead just forward of the sink.

We installed one behind the TV in the stateroom as well as one in the cave, just under the seat and adjacent to the generator start controls. We also kept one loose on the shelve in the cave for easy access.

We have an R29s. I mounted one in the cockpit, port side on the aft "wall" just above the raw water outlet. Then I mounted a second one starboard side, in the cabin, just outboard of the aft opening window. This one is hidden well, but easily accessed by lifting the cave access seat.

The 3rd one is loose and I keep it in the berth. in the starboard cabinet next to the bed.

Enjoy the R29. It is a great boat!!
