Good evening Folks,
Just got our 2010 R25 SC, new to us as of last June, hauled out for the first time.
The boat, 75% fuel, 25% water, empty holding tank, no dinghy and full complement of cruising accessories (i.e. bedding, cookingware, etc) came to just below 8000lbs.
Already power washed the hull below the waterline and the bottom paint (Interlux Micron CSC) will require a few touch ups. My intent is to wet sand using 80 grit sandpaper where the touch ups will go (to feather the paint job), clean and paint. Any other suggestions?
I'll clean (very carefully) the prop, trim tabs, rudder and swim step stanchions with Scotch Brite pads. Zincs are being replaced all around (trim tabs, prop, swim steps stanchions and thrusters) and will use Lanacote during the install.
Finally, I'll clean the hull, remove oxidation as required and wax. Previous owner never waxed the hull, any good suggestions (I'll be doing this yearly and don't want to ceramic coat it).
By the way, I'm in Western Canada, if that helps with the suggestions.
Cheers
