😀 we recently were fortunate enough to purchase a 2000 model R-21 tug. the boat was in pristine condition and sits on a heavy duty ez-load trailer. The engine hour meter read 241.1
. I won't mention a purchase price here, but,i feel as though i should have, possibly, had mask and a gun.

a couple of weeks ago we took the boat to lake Powell in northern AZ, SOUTHERN UT. If you are not familiar with this 180 mile long waterway, it rests along the Colorado river through Utah's color country. deep red canyons and towering buttes. a photographers dream. But enough about that. I was just a little more than lightly concerned about the boats ability on this water way because of the distances between services (50 miles) , 100 between diesel pumps, so we stayed somewhat close to the marinas. Lake Powell has it's share of very large boats. These cruise boats that run between Page and rainbow bridge, are capable of bow wakes over 6 feet high and the operators seen to care less about any one else. Combine that fact with the vertical walls of the canyon which throw these wakes back over themselves and you have situation resembling the Bearing sea. Our little tug took it all in stride. only a few drops over the bow. After 4 days cruising and covering over 60 miles, upon returning to the marina, the 19 gallon fuel tank would not take 5 gallons. We returned a week later and did another four day cruise. reassured we were not going to run out of fuel, away we went, visiting the long narrow canyons and camping along sandy beaches. The boat performed flawlessly. this trip covered over eighty miles at speeds around eight mph. (2200 rpm) and boy did we use the fuel. nearly six gallons.
Lake Powell is a MUST DO if it is at all within your means. weather is best from September on as the summers are hot, usually over 100 degrees, and springtime can be very windy. The ranger tug and this lake were made for each other.
Last week there was a C-dory convention on the lake. Hard to believe how may Dory heads were turned by our Ranger.
