We took delivery of our new R27 Classic in June. I have been trying to figure out how the flag halyard on the back of the mast is supposed to work. There is a single block at the top of the mast post, a single block directly under it mounted to the cabin top, and a cleat forward of the block mounted on the cabin top. The halyard is plenty long and has two flag clip thingies that are connected together making a complete loop. The halyard is run through the block at the top of the mast. What route is the rest of it supposed to take? I have tried running the doubled lines down through the single block and then forward to the cleat and I have tried running the aft line down to the block then to the cleat and the forward line straight to the cleat - kind of forms a triangle. Neither of these ways look right. I have been unable to find a clean photo of how the rest of you are doing this. I am able to fly the flags I want to, but there must be a cleaner way. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
