Flag Staff

When I purchased my 2008 RC-21EC, it didn't come with a Flag Staff. What's the legnth, I've heard 24 and 30 inch.

The flagstaff that came on my 2010 R21-EC is 30" overall and has a base that measures 7/8". The flag pole socket is 1". I think the 7/8" diameter of the flagstaff is designed to fit the 1" socket. At West Marine, you have a choice of 24" or 30" flagstaff's with a "one inch" base. Take your choice. I am sure you can find larger or shorter flagstaff's somewhere. It depends on what size flag you want to fly.

I fly my flag from the mast. I have been trying to find some kind of regulations on where to fly the flag, but cannot find any. In the Navy, we flew the flag on the mast when underway, and on the stern when at anchor or tied up.
