My Float On 2 axle trailer has a GVWR of 11,274 lbs. and the trailer weight is 1,274 lbs. Hence the max allowed boat weight is 10,000 lbs. The tires are Freestar Radial S&T, ST235/80R16 10 ply and are rated at 3,520 each at 80 lbs. pressure. From various posts that I have read on Tugnuts, my R27 probably weighs around 10,000 lbs which puts me at the limit with not much wiggle room. Do those of you who have Float On trailers have the same GVWR and tire sizes?

Hi Phil:

We have a Float-on 1231abb trailer with same specs to haul our R-27.

There's several threads in the archive on trailer loading that are helpful.

Our last trip i had about 50 gal of diesel, empty water and holding tanks, and almost everything except the dishes, coffeemaker, bedding stowed in the truck.

The CAT Scales showed the boat and trailer weighed 10320, disconnected from truck, so that's well within limits.

So basically, unload everything u can from the boat; you'd be surprised how much the power cord, lines, tools, drinks, and other bosting paraphenalia weighs.

Also, Cat Scales has a free app that maps locations.

Good luck,
Bill

My trailer is the same as Bill's, Model 1231ABB.
