Sitting here in North Idaho, looking out the window at 2+ feet of snow and dreaming of warm water cruising. In the process of purchasing a beautiful used R27 on a trailer and wondering if anyone has any suggestions, tips, and do’s/don’ts of cruising in the Keys in the wintertime. Thank you

I think you’d enjoy the Keys this time of the year. Lisa n I have been several times and have made posts on our travels on our blog. If you’re interested go to http://www.trailertrawlerlife.com, once there go to the menu in the upper left hand corner, click on this and find the search field. If you put in Florida or Florida Keys you’ll come up with a great number of posts to see photos, text, etc. After you’ve researched this please feel to reach out to us with additional questions.

At anchor now in Islamorada. The tug handles the depths very well. Currently riding out a blow. Plan ahead for water and pump outs. We spend most of our time at anchor.

Bob,
Was down in the Keys last week fishing. Love Islamorada!

Jim,
Great set of blog posts about cruising the Keys. Thanks for sharing!
