Foam decking

The Raptor decking in our C28 cockpit bubbled up and started coming unglued this past summer right after the heat wave in mid-July reached temperatures of 100 degrees. I spoke with Raptor Deck folks and they were surprised that happened, but said they could replace the large middle piece in the cockpit for $600. I passed and will try to remove the bubble and glue it down myself. Otherwise, I really like the product and it is easy on the knees.

I had a similar problem with U-deck. I eventually removed the piece. cleaned the deck and the underside and reinstalled with contact cement. It has held ever since. However, using contact cement is a one shot deal. You better get it placed properly the first time. I used to do a lot of counter top laminate work so I was confident enough to do it.

Similar problem: the piece on port side lazarette has a bubble due to hot weather. Are there less permanent options than contact cement?

Overall we love the Raptor Deck.

The bubbling we experienced last year has continued and now pieces are simply losing their adhesion and peeling back in several places. I'm going experiment with the best double-sided tape (3M or Gorrila) I can get over the counter and see how well it will hold. Any other advice on re-sticking the Raptor back on the deck would be appreciated.
