Greetings,
I have been wishing for some fold up armrests ever since I was crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca one day and hit some pretty serious wave action. It was hard to stay in the seat. I was considering a new seat, but most ran over $400 and were going to be a tight squeeze in my RT 25SC. I found some bolt on armrests in the scratch and dent section of Springfield Marine...makers of the seats on my RT, They don't replace the hinges perfectly, but very close. The seat back sits up and back a little now, but not enough to be a problem. The seat actually folds better now than it did before. I will test them out when I get the boat back in the water at the beginning of April. It they work as well as I think they will, I'll pull them off and paint them to match. The armrests I made out of some wood for a base, and some extra foam I had laying around. And no...I'm not much at sewing...functional, but not pretty.
Here's the link to the armrests: http://www.springfieldmarinescratchanddent.com/armrest/ The shipping was way more than the armrests.
