Folding up the Bimini, new owner

Just took delivery of our 25 SC. I want to fold the Bimini and put the boot cover on until it gets warmer & sunnier... I see pictures of it kept towards the stern and other times toward the cabin. Is there a "best" way to keep it? Are there any "tricks" to folding it up?

We usually keep it folded up with the bimini towards the stern. When they are new they are pretty tight when assembling so keeping it fully assembled for a while isn't a bad idea. By the way, when trailering the boat for long distances it is better to remove the canvas entirely from the rails. If you don't you will find that eventually holes will wear through the canvas at vibration pionts.
