For those who want to fish in B.C....

Already have lic and boat set up for fishing both bottom fish and salmon. Karyn and I plan to leave Lk Washington this year about June 19 and wander to Port McNeill / Port Hardy. Then cross over to mainland and enter the River's Inlet area and fish and explore this area to Bella Bella. These are top notch spots for the big salmon run that is supposed to happen this year. Of course not all will be fishing as we hear there are beaches to dig clams, etc. Will be "out there" till mid to late August. If anyone else will be in the area and would like to talk fishing please let me know with an email. Would be happy to join up with other Tugnuts "out there" for a fish feed and a cold one.

Our Ranger Tugs cross may paths when you're up in the River's Inlet/Bella Coola area. I am joining Red Current and Port Nut in their 21-foot ECs exploring that area this summer. We drive to Bella Coola, launch there and spend 3-4 weeks exploring the Great Bear Rainforest. Should be a helluva trip!

Let's PM and share trip plans.

Ron,
I copy / pasted your email and sent you a note. Thanks for the post and will appreciate all and any info you will pass on. Fish feed and cold one for sure if we can meet up. Also, after reading about the GREAT BEAR RAIN FOREST I am anxious to hear what you know about that.

Jim, I found last years method where I sit and have a beer and you deliver the salmon by dinner time highly affective!!
Look forward to seeing you up north this summer. How many beers per pound is salmon going for this season???

Doug,

It seems highly effective to sit / stand on a corner with a sign asking for something. Since booze is so dang expensive "up there" I think I have a solution. I am going to go on the hook where lots of boats pass and put my sign out - SALMON FOR BOOZE. What do you think? 😛

I promise to be your first customer! Ive been saving my Loonies and Tooneys for the year. It does hurt when the cost of libations are the only thing higher than the cost of fuel.
