Forward Hatch Lock

How does the forward hatch (in the sleeping quarters) lock?

There is a tab that you can slide proximal and distal to the pivot that will "lock" it in place. Quotes because it is plastic and Im sure can be broken.

Yes, and if you try to force the handle to turn while it's locked, it will break the lock, as I found out when my wife did that.
