Just added a freshwater flushing system with the hookup on my back transom. Since I moved my boat to Twin Bridges where it will now be stored in a heated storage on bunks I thought it would be nice to make freshwater flushing easier. See the garden hose connection in my photo albums.

Nice connection. Does this hook into the strainer to feed the engine?

Yes, the water pressure is a bit much so the way it works is you close the saltwater valve 1/2 way then turn on the water other wise it’s to much pressure, you then start the engine and then close the valve all the way. You reverse the process after flushing the system. It’s easier than the flushing system set up on the bottom of the boat.

I wanted a way to flush our outboards when they are tilted up on our 302 that we keep on our morning can. So I put brass quick disconnects on the motors flush hose fittings and i use a short hose to run back to the shower on the back transom. Spin off the shower head and put on a hose adapter, then connect the hose and turn on the cold. Works pretty good if you can't get to a hose bib and shes going to swing for a while.
