I finally got around to dealing with my fresh water supply this morning.

However, when I removed the "intake cap" the sealing ring fell out and into the water, so I couldn't identify it.

Is it an "O" ring or a Ranger Tug specific sealing ring?

If an "O" ring what was the size is it?

I may be able to purchase a replacement locally.

If it is Ranger Specific may I purchase direct from Ranger?

The water tank filler cap seal can be purchased from most auto parts stores (Lordco, for example). This seal is the same size as the one for the waste tank pumpout cap. The seals are 1.5 inches in diameter with seal cross section of 3/32 inch.

I forgot to say that the seal is an o ring.

Hi Osprey,
At least you didn't drop the whole cap overboard.
Take the cap with you to an auto parts store or Marine supply store and they should have one. I also saw some O-rings at West Marine.
If worse comes to worse the factory sells new fresh water caps and sewage caps. The sewage pump-out cap might be the same size.
Good Luck,

The o-ring is a standard size for the water, fuel and waste caps and is available at West Marine. You could probably take the o-ring from one of your other caps and take it to Lowes/Home Depot or auto parts store and get it cheaper.
