Fresh water pump in a cutwater 242

My 10 amp fresh water fuse keeps blowing after I fill the tank with fresh water from the empty position. Happened twice now. Ant ideas as to why this is happening. The boat in new.
 
Hello Michaelo,

The newer water pumps require a 15A fuse rather than the 10A that is currently on your boat. The pump will have markings on the side to confirm the correct size fuse. Feel free to give me a call in the office at (253)839-5213 with any questions.
