Fresh Water Pump Upgrade

My Jabsco pump was loud, really loud. I added Johnson Pumps 09-46839-01 Accumulator Tank and now it's whispering quiet. To say I'm happy with this accumulator tank is an understatement.
I carry Johnson Pumps 10-13406-107 Aqua Jet WPS 5.2 as my spare.

Are you using a variable speed pump with the accumulator? Ive read mixed things around it. Some say its fine, some say you shouldn't.

Sorry, I'm using regular stock Jabsco pump.

Hello, I know this is an older post but, hopefully, you're still a Tugnut. I'm researching a switch to the Johnson pump from the stock Jabsco on my R29. I've seen reviews that say the psi on the Johnson is 50 and others that say 40. I'm worried 50 might have more blowout potential than the stock pump. Any problems or issues with going to a pump with higher psi? Thanks in advance

Just replaced a Jabsco model 32600-0592 , 3.5 gpm, 40 psi with a
Johnson Pump model 10-13329-103 , 5 gpm,25-51 psi variable speed pump.
The Jabsco worked fine but was really loud. We’ve had variable speed water pumps on other vessels and they were much quieter.
The quick connections were identical so no plumbing required. The mounting holes were spaced a little differently but still an easy swap.
Unfortunately we have not been able to test this installation yet as temperatures have not been favorable for a trailered boat here. We hope to get in the water next week and will let you know the results.
Hope this helps
Chris
