I have a Ranger Tug 31S 2022 LE. I have a marina where I store my boat do the Winterizing and Spring Commissioning. Now I can’t get hot water from either running the engine or using the 120 V water heater. I can get water out of both the H and C faucets from the head and the galley. I tried to review the so-called owners manual that came with the boat and it as useless. Is there a valve somewhere to turn on the hot water? Thanks so much . Norm… I have 31 as well.
Pull up the floor cubby hatch door near the stove -
Check the hot water tank - to see if during the winterization process - the hot water connections (to the tank) were disconnected and bypassed with a short temporary hose.
If so, simply remove the temporary winterization hose and re-connect the 2 ends of the hot water lines line back onto the hot water tank.

Thanks for the tip AG. I solved one-half of the problem. The engine bypass that circulates hot engine cooling water by the water heater when underway was closed. I ran the engine and within 5 mins had hot water running! I checked all the connections at the water heater and all looks good. Once the hot water from running the engine cools down, I’ll turn on my water heater and see if that works too. I believe the water heater is getting power as the light is on at the 110v breaker panel. Thanks for the tips. We cruise with our 31S Valhalla on the Bay of Green Bay and have made it as far as Little Current ON for the 2023 Ranger Tug Rendezvous.
Good cruising. Norm. m/v Valhalla

If your water heater still doesn't work, check the reset button on the tank. It is located under a protective cover on the end of the tank. The cover is held on by some Phillip screws. My hot water went off a few weeks ago. I was crossing the Gulf and sucked up a lot of sea grass. An alarm went off telling me to slow down because the exhaust temperature was too high. I figured that the engine water flowing through the tank raised the water temperature in the tank above the limit and tripped the breaker.

Thanks Bill. I”m not on the boat now, but will check this out if the heater doesn’t work at the dock on 110v. Thanks again. Norm C31SLE
