It was recently was recommended that I use Stanadyne fuel additive when I had my Volvo D6 serviced by Coastal Marine Engine. They said that Volvo recommended it. I bought a 5 gal container which was a lot cheaper way to go. The first thing I realized was that I needed a easy way to calculate the amount of additive when I toped off the boat. The result was a spread sheet to do the work for me. I also found a Stihl mixing bottle that had a nice spout and 100ml graduations. Hopefully this makes life easy and no hassles to continue adding the Stanadyne. While I was at it, since we travel to Canada in the summer I added a liter $CAN to gallon $US.
Does anyone else use additive and do you have procedures that make life easier?
