I was tired of having to holding paper towels over the fuel vent while filling up the boat and inevitably getting a little fuel on the side of the boat and needing to dispose of the paper towels after filling. I saw several solutions on various message boards including the suction type container affixed to the side of the boat to capture overflow. Finally came across a fellow TugNutter who installed a Racor LG100.

I hoped to be able to install it in the bilge by the fuel tank where there's plenty of room but learned that the separator needed to be positioned vertically with no more than a 30 degree tilt from the vertical position.

Found an ideal spot behind the light in the mid-cabin berth. Hardest part was pulling the vent line out of the zip tie and getting the hose clamps off the vent so I can rotate it towards the bow. I haven't fill up yet but don't anticipate any issues. I also built up a funnel that screws into the fuel filling port to prevent any overflow from the filling hose as the vent won't serve as a warning any longer.

Is the lamp panel screwed in ?
Will take a look back there as well, I end up with diesel in the lazerrettee starboard side next to generator, when I overfill.

It’s not screwed in. Just pressure fit.
