With the factory mounted kicker on an R-23, how do you run the fuel line to the fuel filter for the main tank?

Many thanks!!!

One other question. What's the fourth line (rear right) for?

That actually has a plug in it. What looks like a line is actually my lazarette waterproof LED lighting strip.

venajeff is correct. We wanted the option to remove the fuel line so we used compatible connection fitting on the filter and a Fuel Filler fitting to transition through the transom. The Fuel Filler fitting works best because you can pass the outboard's fuel line through without modification. Also, when you are not using the Fuel Filler fitting, you can use the cap for a watertight closure of your transom.

Thanks!! That was ingenious and neat. Perhaps your setup is different from the R-23, but, if not, couldn't you have passed the kicker fuel line through the same opening as the main engine fuel line?

Thanks. As you can see, our swim-step assembly (our boat is #2 produced in 2017 with the outboard...so we're different in so many ways...) requires all connections to the main motor to have water tight integrity.

Also, we want maximum flexibility. Our kicker is also the main propulsion for our dinghy. The ability to remove the entire fuel line quickly and transition the engine for use on our dinghy is the priority. We also use the fuel line to fuel our Honda 2000 generator so we don't have to carry fuel cans.

Ah ha! now I see that. Tricky opticals. Thanks!

Wow that's more ingenious than I thought! And it all makes sense. And, since I have a dingy, might be a good idea. Thanks again and have a great boating season.

The inner diameter of the new installed "Fuel Fill" fitting is less than the size of the fuel line connection fitting. Merely pass the hose through, fittings and all and leave it on deck. The fuel hose does not penetrate the swim platform sponson/engine pod.

I saw that. I was wondering how Venajeff threaded a permanent line to the engine in the event I decided to do that rather than your setup. I probably won't put my 9.9 hp on my dingy, but, if I needed to, I could get an extra hose. But, in reality, I can't see myself switching that engine to the dingy unless the R-23 was sinking.
