Fuel tank leak from Wabasto connection

We recently purchased our 2011 R27. Took it out for a nice trip. Came back, fueled up, and now have fuel bubbling out where the Wabasto heater fuel line enters the fuel tank. The fuel bubbles out from where the large nut that sits on the rubber gasket connects to the smaller nut. The connection seem tight.
We ran the engine to reduce the amount of fuel in the tank but still have fuel bubbling out.
We do have considerable difficulty filling the tank due to the vent hose seeming to have a low spot in the line and not allowing air to escape.
We had a mechanic do the oil and filters today. He was unsure how the Wabasto connection was attached th the tank on the inside. Is this a known issue? Is there a diagram of how the connection is set up?

It sounds like you actually have 2 separate issues, and one is exacerbating the other.

The fuel is bubbling out of the Webasto fitting because your fuel vent line is clogged or blocked, so pressure is building in the tank due to expansion, forcing fuel out of the leaky joint. That back pressure in the tank is not a good thing - you should have someone take a look at your vent line as soon as practical and eliminate any low spots or other sources of blockage. As you already noticed, it makes it hard to fill up your tank, and with the leaky fitting you may also end up with a bilge full of diesel. It sounds like the area where the Webasto line connect might be a low point when the boat is in the water, if the fuel was still leaking after you attempted to burn some off.

Both the vent clog and the fitting leak are issues that should be addressed quickly before you put many more hours on the boat.

The last post makes sense. Make sure your vent line raises immediately after exiting the tank and stays on a consistent incline up to the vent. If you have to shorten the hose to get slack out do that as well. This should release any back pressure and make for easier filling of the tank. Your tank fittings should not leak. It is not clear to me where the fitting is leaking. Is it the nut right at the tank or the fitting above it? Mine is a compression fitting above the tank connector. The compression fitting may just have to be reset if that is the one leaking. A little pipe compound on the fitting that is for diesel won't hurt. Same holds true for the fitting going into the tank. I would wait to address this after you have used up some fuel in the tank and cleared your vent line.

The Wabasto fitting on the tank has a rubber gasket,a washer, a large nut then a small nut that seems to fit into the large nut (compression fitting?). This is where the leak is.
