Subject: Fuel tank level indicator for R-23 & R-27 Outboards w/Kicker
The Yamaha engine display and the Garmin Chartplotter both provide an indication of remaining fuel in the fuel tank. For R-23s and R-27s with a kicker motor is the fuel consumed by the kicker motor taken into account ?
Along the same lines, does the Yamaha engine display give readouts for the Kicker motor when it's being used with the F200 or F300 not running ?
On the R-27/OB with Kicker motor the Kicker motor steering is via a tie bar with the F300. Thus normal Autopilot use will also steer the the boat with just the Kicker motor running. I believe for the R-23, its Kicker motor's steering is independent from its adjacent F200 motor and its steering is accomplished with a wireless remote or done manually.
