Where is the fuel tank located on the CW28 and how can we visually check the fuel level? I am worried the Volvo fuel gauge is not accurate and I would like a visual verification.
Thanks.

open the hatch immediately inside your cabin door. if you have an inverter it will reside on the forward bulkhead of this small compartment. the aft wall of the compartment are removable panels the allow access to the front of your engine.. the floor of the compartment is a wood panel toward port, looking toward starboard the off white plastic affair with hoses coming off the top is the fuel tank. its a "pancake" tank and not very deep making sighting and judging level tough. YMMV

judging range off burn rate is how most people roll.

I don't know if the CW Volvo is tied into the Garmin like it is on the tugs but Ive had pretty good accuracy using the fuel gauge on the Garmin. You have to reset to max fuel on the Garmin after you fill up but the gauge told fuel remaining pretty well. I few fill up gallons compared to the Garmin display showing fuel burned/remaining lets you know if its off.

Unless the setup has changed, you can see when the tank is almost full if you can see the top of the tank as described (it helps if it's a bright day) The diesel will show a definitive dark line through the translucent tank.

I have a fuel burp issue and I always take a look at the tank before putting the last few gallons of fuel in. If you're close to full it should be easy to see.

Thank you for the replies. I appreciate the help and advice.
Mike
