Hey nuts, any of you folks that have the full enclosure on their 21ec,what is the $ amount I should expect to pay.i have the top cover allready ,just asking about the side curtains cost.

On our boat we have full bug screen enclosure, comprised of 6 sections, and full clear vinyl enclosure, also 6 sections, that zipper onto the Bimini and snap onto the hull. We can mix and match these sections in any configuration. Cost for the bug screens was about $400.00. Vinyl $550.00. Priced based on cost 3 years ago.

Cheers,

Karl

My total cost was 7,000 CND including permanent frame with 2 inch "roll bar" and solar panel bar. Canvas is cadet grey sunbrella with same color zippers. Plastic and screens integrated into each side and back panel. Expensive but in a small boat it is a must to have a frame that can be used for support when the boat rocks. Check my pictures.

Mine cost 2200$ CAD, it is made of Sunbrella and it include the top, and 7 panels. I already had the framing with the old bimini... The panels all have screen, vinyl window and privacy flap. See my photo album. I wanted to have the rail on the outside so make the tying up easier(line and fender) price is in 2016.

Thanks for the replys,I am having the curtains made locally and I thought the $2000 price tag was a tad steep, hopefully the quality will warrant the cost.

If they use a product like sunbrella to do your enclosure, it will last quite a while if you take care of it properly. especially that we only use our boat 5-6 months a year up here...

I have a complete frame and top for a R21 Classic if anyone is interested.

.. is this the enclosure supported by the boom prior to the mast being eliminated ? Rob

Yes. This is from a R21 Classsic with a full mast and sail boom.

I just had my cockpit fully enclosed in Pensacola, Florida. Total cost was a shade over $3,000US. My boat came with the full top already installed. I had the local shop create nine zip-in panels. The panels are a mix of canvas, screen, and clear plastic. The screen provides a bit of privacy while the smileys provide ventilation and bug protection. I am really happy with the work done here by Jolly Rogers in Pensacola. I'll put a picture in my album.

Hello Jack,

Welcome to Tugnuts!

That's a nice looking cockpit enclosure. Thanks for posting.

My local guy finished and I am impressed,it's made in 9 panels,no screens.now we just have to wait on the nicer weather to get back in the drink.

My R21EC came with a full top. I had 8 panels made of matching sunbrella material.2 port side panels, 2 starboard panels and a full stern panel; these comprise the complete privacy tent. Also keeps the birds and other critters out while on my lift. The three additional panels are also sunbrella with screen; 1 each side and the stern panel. I can replace the solid panels with the screened ones. Top quality workmanship and material. $2200 for all 8 panels. Feb 2017 Maryland.
