My 1919 R31-S came with a Furrion TV installed in the stateroom

How does one make it play a DVD? I got it to the DVD setting and it says NTSC DVD,

There is a slot marked DVD on the back - but it rejects every DVD I insert in the slot with some gibberish about why it is unable to play the DVD.

Very frustrating!

On our Majestic TV the DVDs go in with the shiny side forward, which seems backward. Have you tried them both ways?

Yes - and it makes no difference.

The only thing this tv will do is to show me an array of shopping channels <sigh>

Looking at the Furrion manual, it sounds like it is not recognizing the format of the DVD. It won't accept Blue Ray format, but if you're using regular DVDs I would guess there is something wrong with the TV. You may want to try calling Ranger Tug and see if anyone there can help.

mine doesnt even suck the DVD in. been that way since I bought the boat new and assumed it was broken.

It sucks it in...takes a look..and spits it out!

Probably only likes Chinese food!
