Does anyone know where the engine hatch lift fuse is located on a C30?
It's not marked on the fuse panel and there isn't another obvious location
Thanks

Found out. Followed the wiring from switch. Separate fuse holder on the line.

Good question ! I wonder where it is on my 29C ?

For as much mechanical genius as they possess in putting 8 pounds of goodies into a 5 pound sack, they are electrical idiots.
I would strongly urge the factory bring in a consultant to design a wiring harness for each model with proper layout, tagging, fuse blocks, etc.
This harness would be wired on an assembly table and tested (it could be outsourced to a local business - women tend to be better at this than men) Then lifted off the table, coiled, sent to the factory where it would be unrolled and placed into the deck and hull before they are mated. It would have proper wire tags for each circuit, fuse blocks with engraved circuit names, etc.
It will cost less in the long run than the rat nest method they have always used, cause fewer problems in the field, and raise the perceived value of the boat.

Definitely a great comment Denny. A bit sugar coated though. It seems every boat is wired like a Chinese menu. It all depends on who was working that day and what they felt like doing. Adding a couple of empty conduits with drag lines from stern to bow wouldn't be a bad feature either.

If I have one criticism of my boat; it is the wiring chaos. In places it is fastened to plumbing including fuel, water and cooling lines. I hope over time to separate and reinstall some of it. The wiring harness proposed could be a neat solution. Co-ordination of what goes where and who installs what first is equally important in creating a tidy installation and capable of being easily serviced. But where is that fuse ?

Today, all of our boats have a dedicated wiring harness made from an outside source and properly labeled and done very nicely in my opinion. With the earlier models, many of these were done in house and were not as standardized. If you have questions in regards to your "specific model", please feel free to email us directly and we will answer your questions.
