Hello ST,

A lot of ATO fuses and a few ANL fuses for the thrusters. Probably others too. Best to do an aft-to-bow boat crawl and note fuse types, locations, and function. AND look for the BREAKERs too; sometimes these trip and leave you stumped.

When do you take delivery of your new tug?

I'm about to have a 2016 R27. David, wisely above, suggested an aft to bow boat crawl to locate and list fuses and breakers. Given that the electrical diagrams in the owners manual are several years old and others have reported variations from those diagrams, has anyone done the suggested boat crawl on a 2015-2016 R27 and have results they are willing to post?

I am thinking of reverse tracing all circuits and use some online schematic editor to track that info. Have not found the right one and my boat is a bit away from me to make that practical.

I think it should be possible to create a netlist and from that some form of wiring diagram. This is done in electronics all the time and cheap solutions should be available.

I thought ranger uses a wireloom that is made by a third party and then just dropped into the boat. The wireloom data should be a available.

We could make that a community effort to create such wiring diagram.

I'm about to take delivery of my new R27 and have been wondering about fuses as well. Has the idea of the "boat crawl" gone any further? I'm interested in answers and helping to get it done.
