Has anyone had their Fusion radio repaired? I have had trouble identifying the proper contact for repairs. Has anyone had a repair completed? How much? Mine needs an encoder - turning the knob in a given direction produces the opposite of the desired result most of the time. Are there any independent repair facilities that do this type of work?

Larry,
Hate to say this but if it was me I’d just buy a brand new one and replace the original. I took my new stereo unit and JL Audio speakers to a good local car stereo installer and they had the new radio and speakers in and working in 30 minutes. Bought my new stereo gear online at The GPS Store and Sonic Electronics. Sold the old unit on eBay for parts to recoup the install costs.

It has been a few years now but when our Fusion failed at the end of the first season they were very responsive and replaced our unit with a newer version At no charge. I installed it myself. I can’t remember how I contacted them but there is contact info on their website for both telephone and email. Good company.

I replaced mine with a Sony Marine unit.
Bluetooth, CDs, Pandora, Spotify, etc.
I love it and wish I had done it sooner.

I might do that. I finally reached their customer support people and they cheerfully told me they don't fix things - ever - Within three years you get a new one, beyond that, tough luck. Tell me about your Sony.

What is better about the Sony?

I have had a Sony and upgraded to Fusion. Would never go back and I am now on my 8th year with a 4 channel amp.

I thing I like about Fusion is that their remotes are NMEA2k. No home runs back to the head unit and the one on the cockpit I use to display depth when at anchor and listing to music.

Thanks. Fusion is usually the one I see getting the top marks in reviews.

Hence, my curiosity for a counter point of view

Another plus in my mind is that Garmin owns Fusion so they integrate quite well. I sometimes control my Fusion unit, as well as Sirius channels, from my chartplotter.
