We have a 2015 C28 that has a Fusion IP 700i that will not power OFF. The screen stays lit, but nothing else works. I can't get it to turn off. I hold the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds, it powers off, then lights right back up again. I also have concerns about battery drain. Have any of you experienced this, and if so, know of any remedies? Thanks.

I had the same thing happen to me and it was very confusing at first, but then I figured it out after reading the manual...

Assuming it is like my Fusion, you just press the button "momentarily" to power it on or off.
If you push and hold, the stereo goes through a reboot sequence... which explains why you see it go off then come back on.

Thanks. I'll give it a try today.

Good luck! Other thing you can check is within the settings... you can configure if the stereo does a full power down vs just going into standby...

I tried pushing the power button briefly and that did not work. Also, I found another chat site where others had the same problem. They said to download the firmware update. I did that and plugged in the flash drive to the back of the unit and no change. I'll check with our marine electrician who is coming down to do some other work. Thanks.

Try unplugging your Garmin chartplotter and the fusion, and finally powering off your house bank. Our fusion iss linked to the plotter and that action fixed it.

I'm not quite sure how to unplug the Fusion. I don't see any plugs in the back of the unit. All wires go directly inside the back of the unit. Is there another way to unplug it? At the chart plotter? Thank you.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same thing happening.

We ended up replacing it with a slightly different Fusion model and it has worked flawlessly.

Thanks! That’s what I’m thinking too. It’s over 10 years old and I don’t think it has bluetooth.
