Subject: FYI - Anode maintenance for R-27/OB

My underwater anodes and hull were inspected today via my Diving service. My boat has been in salt water since Aug 16, 2017.

Anodes were good @ 60% intact. One's Marina will affect how quickly the underwater anodes degrade.

Will likely install the three new anodes (trim tabs and F300 base plate) in 2-2.5 months as my position is to replace anodes at 50% or less to avoid them going to 0% in between inspections.

The Yamaha F300 base plate bracket is different than what the diver service had records for the F300 engine. So they will need to find the proper one for the next inspection.

Paint was in excellent shape, just 2 scuff marks perhaps from trailer or haul-out marks.

There was rust found on the nut for the bow thruster and I'm assuming this will need further inspection monitoring and be replaced periodically. Note that the bow thruster is an all-composite material on the R-27/OB and the old small cone-shaped anode used on the all-metal thruster is no longer necessary.

I'll post some photos taken underwater later.
