I received Email from Garmin today stating an alert.... below is a preamble for the Email contents.
Dear Garmin Customer,
Garmin has recently discovered an issue that may affect your device if (1) a non-standard latitude/longitude format (position format other than hddd°mm.mmmm) is selected, (2) a specific software version is loaded, (3) detailed maps are not available, and (4) used in low visibility/nighttime conditions.
If you have selected a standard latitude/longitude format, such as hddd°mm.mmmm’, or have already updated your device software to the latest version, your device may no longer be affected.
This issue applies to the following models and software versions:

During initial set up, you are prompted to select a latitude/longitude format. Selecting a non-standard format with impacted software versions could cause an inaccurate display of the track log on the chartplotter.
