Galley hot water “spitting”

Recommissioned the fresh water but despite several half tanks of fresh water the hot side is spitting. Do I have an air leak in the hot water side?

I would check the temperature of the hot water coming out. It might be the thermostat is not working properly and is superheating the water.

If your water heater tank is not full, it will spit; takes a while for the water to displace the air in that tank. Do not turn on the water heater until you know that tank is full (it could fry the heating element).

With the water heater OFF, just let it run until the spitting stops. It most likely will after a minute or two.

After a lot of crawling around identified the issue. When I cleaned the screen for the freshwater pump, the rubber o ring did not seat properly and air was getting in. Used some rubber silicon grease and reseated
