Hi, I tried the Customizations forum but no luck. Does anyone at the factory know where I can buy the SS rails used on the narrow shelves behind the sink and stove on a 2012 R27 and other models probably? Thanks, Gary

Yea, the first link are hand grab rails, which are not what I'm looking for - waaaayyy to thick.

Can't access the second link, my browser identifies a security issue:

"This Connection is Not Private!
This website may be impersonating "sea-dog.com" to steal your personal or financial information. You should close this page."

If you could reach the page, did you see the product name i.e. what they were called?

Thanks for trying. Gary

Try the Sea Dog link now. Their server must have been down.

Works now. Those are still hand rails and not a match for what's inside the boat. The ones in the boat are maybe 1/4" or 5/8" in diameter and have the ends bent at such an angle (45 deg?) as to fasten on the shelf floor but extend outward maximizing the use of space. Good site to know tho - Sea Dog. Thanks, Gary

Good morning,

Many of these rails were actually custom made from Bolton Stainless out of Canada. They are mostly a manufacturer only company as they require cad drawings for any custom rail. Unfortunately, I am not sure where to send you to go and purchase but, I think Sea-Dog or a company like that is the best place. You might search Fisheries Supply's website as well.

Another option is to purchase stainless steel round stock (less expensive than you think), you can bend the angel to your liking in a shop vice and install threads with a tap and die set from your local hardware store. Bar stock is usually available from many hardware stores or can be ordered on line (Amazon). A few months ago I manufactured a throttle for a tractor I used 1/4 in stainless about 3 ft the stock cost less than $20 a lot cheaper than what Ford/New Holland wanted.
Good luck. Bob

Thanks for the homework Andrew and Bob. #;-)
