Not sure I'm following. The schematic for the ProMariner that I saw indicated putting the GI in line with the ground wire coming from the shore power connector. It appeared that it was to be installed in line on the ground wire between the power inlet and the ELCI. Didn't look like a separate ground wire was specified to run from the GI to the boat's ground or the bonding system. I can't post the schematic with the issues the web site has right now.
But maybe I missed something?
The lead Green Ground down stream side of GI must go to the bonding ground terminal strip. If you install an Isolator with two 30 amp shore power inlet connectors both grounds from each service must be connected to the single isolator terminal 60amp isolator. You must confirm you have at least one green ground wire connected on the other GI terminal stud that goes to the green ground terminal strip. Easy check VOA meter set OHM red lead on the down stream
Stud black meter lead to a green bonding wire any where in the boat. Meter should read less than . 7 Ohms preferably 0. Your GI is wired correctly. Then take shore power cord place red meter lead on the ground prong of cord the black lead to the upstream GI terminal stud ( continuity) Your installation is correct.
