2008 R25 garmin 4210 problem. Turns on but fades in and out. Thought power cord. Map comes up but no depth, gps, speed etc. Also map does not move when your moving. I recall something similar awhile ago and checked the gps antenna connection Etc. and it worked. Not this time though. Took the antenna cable off the antenna and checked for corrosion and reconnected. Power came up normally but still no gps, depth Etc. Soooo! I'm thinking a new antenna or cable. Anyone had this problem?

Hey JimBeam,

Have you tried cycling the house power for 1-2mins yet? We have seen that sometimes the whole system needs to be powered down and house battery switch off for a few minutes. If that doesn't help I would reach out to Garmin direct, unfortunately I don't believe they still support that model with updates and it maybe time to replace the unit. Start with powering down the boat and then check in with Garmin. Hope this helps.

Thank you,
Kevin Lamont
