Garmin Auto Pilot not connecting

Has any one experienced the Autopilot hung up "searching for controller"? It worked at the time of purchase and I have spent too much time playing with the chart plotter at the dock. Did I unconfigure something? Could I suddenly have an electrical connector fault? I loaded Canadian Charts and that's when (I think) it stopped working. Maybe we're not allowed to use Auto Pilot in Canada :shock: .

Any ideas? I only go out to the boat every couple of weekends so I'll collect suggestions and try them next time I'm out.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the nut behind the wheel! :lol:

Same thing happened to me...Andrew suggested to unplug from the back and wait 30 seconds and re-attach the connections...just like you would your computer modem. It will reset itself and you are back running.

You may also want to check the cable that connects in the back of the unit. I have had mine come loose a few times and that was the issue.
