Garmin autopilot

Anyone know how to switch back from nighttime mode to daytime. Turned unit on from prior
Nighttime use and could not read the display. Is there a display reset?

It's under Settings (via the Menu soft key). you can change the backlight.

Yes, the problem is when it in night mode, from the night before, in the daytime, I can’t read the display.

Assuming you have the GHC 10, page 10 on the owner's manual details how to change this, although you may still need to see the screen a little to be able to follow the instructions.

As I recall, once you “long press” the power button to turn it on, if you press the power button again normally one or two times, you will come to a lighted screen that will allow you to reset the backlight. For that matter, pressing the chartplotter power button a second time will also take you to a control screen where you can reset the chartplotter backlight (among other things); and to change the Volvo display backlight, you repeatedly press the lower right button to make it cycle through the brightness levels.
