Garmin Boat Heading and Track not lining up.

What is procedeure for getting boat icon on display to align with heading?

I recently had what I think is the same problem. Here was my solution.
Find a straight stretch. You will need to turn in a circle per on screen instructions, then proceed straight for just a little while. Mine took no more than 30 seconds but it may take longer with some boats.
Go to home screen. Hit settings.
Hit My Vessel.
Hit Autopilot Install Setup.
Hit Yes.
Hit Compass Setup.
When you are ready, hit Compass Calibration and follow simple directions.
When finished hit “Set North” and follow directions again.
That’s it.
