I am adding Canadian waters to my chart plotter. Is the G2 vision card worth the extra money?

Depends... Not sure if it has information that the Blue card does not, as far as where you are, where the obstacles are and what the depth is... What more do you truly need?

The difference in the G2 "Vision" versus the regular G2 vision is a couple of small things. With the word vision in it, it adds a really cool three dimensional view of below the boat. You get what they call satellite imagery and Auto Guidance which is very helpful if you have a autopilot system on board. Auto guidance will create a route around an island all based on your minimum depth limits with one touch to the screen, otherwise, you would have to manually create your own route around that island. I have used it, and dont think I would go without that feature. G2 only gives the chart information and that is why it covers a much larger region. Hope this helps!
