Does anyone know if the Garmin (7215) has a clock to display on screen? I found an alarm, the time of arrival, but I would love to see the current time displayed! I'm driving myself (and the first mate) batty searching for this in the display settings!

Save me....

Yes, you can configure the chart on that model to display current time. It would be in the configuration of the data bars. Do you have the manual for your chart plotter?

Yes, I have the chart plotter manual, but I am unable to locate how to display the current time on the data bars! I can configure the alarms, set the time, etc. How about a hint?

I will see if I can recreate my steps and get back with you....

I would appreciate that Sue!

I had posted this photo before for another purpose but I think shows what you are looking for:
main.php

If you choose to use a databar, you can touch the part of the screen you want the info to show up in and browse through the submenus until you find "Time of Day". Not at the boat now so can't verify but I'd expect it to be under "System" or some such option.

Hope that helps!

Running down to the boat tomorrow. I'm excited to make this happen. (Doesn't take much)

Thanks,

Even better, take an Apple Watch and double stick tape it to the screen 🙂

This was a reference to a fake advertisement presented by Saturday nite ( Belushi etc)
Where they had a mini Apple Newton and treated it like a sticky note but you could edit it,
stick it to the fridge and when done, toss it in the garbage. But I am dating myself here

Here's the process for your chart plotter:

Open Chart
Touch Menu top right corner
Touch Setup
Touch Data Bar
Touch Cruising
Touch Data Bar Setup
Select the desired location (which corner you want to display time)
Select the item you want to display (note there are two pages of options)

I owe you one Sue!!! Done!
