I have a 2018 Cutwater 30 CB with Garmin 7612 displays. GPS Map on port side and GPA Map XSV on starboard side. For some reason the starboard one will come on and then a min or two later it shuts down and wont come back on. Initially I thought it was a voltage problem but the boat has been moored with shore power hooked up. I also run the engine for about 10 min to ensure the alternator charges the batteries before turning on the displays. What am I missing?

Thanks, for any advice

Try tapping the power button 5 times after the unit is turned on, it might be that your backlight is turned way down.

I’d try a reset. You will lose all your stored data if you do. Had similar symptoms with a 5212 a few years back and the reset fixed the problem.
From Garmin:
There are a few instances in which you may want to perform a reset on your GPS 72, GPS 76, GPSMAP® 76, or GPSMAP® 76S handheld, including the following:
o not receiving a satellite signal
o restore the factory default settings
o not functioning properly
All settings, user data*, and satellite data may be erased when resetting the GPS.
To perform the master reset:
1. Power the device Off
2. Press and hold Menu
3. Power the device On while continuing to hold Menu
4. Release all buttons once the Do you really want to erase all userdata? message appears
Select Yes
The GPS 72 / 76 or GPSMAP 76 / 76 handheld is now reset. You may need to leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for a minimum of 20 minutes to acquire satellite data.

If the reset doesn’t work you may have a bad display. Good luck!
