Anyone else have this issue. Usually the garmin is pretty accurate on mpg, better than the Yamaha gauge. But all of a sudden today the garmin started showing really low compared to yamaha, now showing zero mpg. The fuel burn and mpg are accurate with yamaha and senses, but garmin not calculating

I gathered that from your posts. Mine was mid run. 50 miles of reading, then suddenly dropped to like 0.7mpg then zero

I replaced my Yamaha N2k gateway from 2020 with a brand new one 2 months ago, latest and greatest.. newest part number offered today... I saw mpg numbers... either too big or too small for the mpg... and it finally went back to 0.00.

My next step is to contact Garmin.

I contacted them this AM, and have some homework to do next time I go out. They had no ready solution.

It's frustrating to me as I work in IT for a living. MPH/GPH = MPG. The chartplotter accurately displays speed and gph. I don't understand why they haven't added a configuration setting to provide mpg via a simple calculation.

As more and more businesses think they can replace all their programmers with AI these types of problems are only going to get worse. Buckle up.

Martin, garmin tech support couldn't even tell me if the GPS map gets mpg from the Yamaha, or calculates it from speed and fuel burn. Some programmer somewhere knows, but he won't tell.

Garmin has told me that it's the Yamaha N2k gateway that needs to send the mpg. I'm pretty sure it doesn't. But it used to work (prior to April 2021). Or, they could just do the math in the chartplotter (mph/gph=mpg).

Update. I just uploaded version 40.04 and now it works again. Go figure. But I got my mpg back.
