This what I received via Email today.
Service Alert

Garmin has discovered an issue on some Marine devices. In some environments, the ink on the glass display can delaminate over time. If the ink fully delaminates, the glass display could potentially become dislodged. While unlikely, it is possible that the glass display could fall from the device housing.

This does affect 7612 and 7612xsv units.
